Memorial Day weekend schedule
Class will be held on Saturday at the usual time (9:00am). There will be no class on Sunday and Monday’s 5:30am/11:00am classes are canceled as well. But wait, what about 5:30pm class on Monday you ask? Oh, that’s going to happen. It’s going to be your last chance to make up one of the Painstorm WODs and work off those Memorial Day weekend cheeseburgers.
Watch for photos to be posted this next week of Painstorm!! CrossFit Ames brought big game and a great time Tuesday night!! Thank you to all who came down!!
Jodi..still at it and 35 weeks prego!!

Murph as perscribed - no vest. 44:50
Easiest work out so far.....hard to believe. It was strange to feel my legs recover during the last mile.
See you tomorrow.

Burpee Law Imposed.
Reminder: Be proud of what you did this morning and post your time. Or, you can suffer the punishment of 75 burpees that are payable at any time (In the middle of a WOD? Yep, possibly).
What other group of individuals could collectively produce a 1,000 pullups, 2,000 pushups, 3,000 squats, and 14 miles by 6:30 in the morning? Great job everyone. Way to push through Painstorm.

no burpee penalty for me!!! :)
as rxd, 1 mile run, 100 pullups, 165 pushups and hit 45mins
Felt a little down for that, should have done the 20 rds of Cindy method...might have made it closer to finishing.
Great job by the morning crew, way to push yourselfs...Doug you are "the man", Brian and your vest....what can I say.
am hoping to make it tomorrow to finish this craziness!!

Way to go guys!! I can't wait to see the other times coming in on this one!! I know Kelli had a great one (hum hum)....
WOD yesterday I think was the worst one....
Shannon and I did 5 Rounds in about 25 minutes as rx'd and stopped due to heat...and I think I broke out in hives for a bit. (yeah me!) We actually recommmended afternoon folk to stop at 30 min.. However, I can just hear the morning crew now!!!

Becky, I will be putting you down!! Way to go girl!!!
Adam, looks like we should have added another round of Cindy and another 800 M Run...I"m still trying to figure you out..we'll get there. :)
BEST of luck to my buddy and friend of CFOKC who is competing this weekend and was sweet enough to mention CF Iowa in his Bio on his site today www.crossfitokc.com. He will do very well at regionals. I first met Jason Boag at the Edmond, OK "Y" when he and his sweet wife took my k-boxing class...back in the day when we thought k-boxing and bands were the bomb....LOL!! He is now CF competitor and owner of CFOKC. Way to go Jason!!!!!!!

Saturday's WOD is really FUN!!! I hope to see another full/packed house in the morning!! Be there a little early (8:45ish) to get jump start on warm up as you have 2 lifts to prep for in addition to reg. warm up. We will go until completion tomorrow!!! Whoot!

I missed you all this am! Correction on the photo...35 weeks prego! I hope I don't go to 45 weeks - that would be 5 weeks overdue - Nooooooooooooooo!
Was having some pains last night - prob just Braxtons but didn't sleep so missed Murph... Looks like everyone did an awesome job!!! And look at all the posts - luv it!

Did 10 rounds of Fat Cindy (10 pullups, 20 pushups, 30 squats). Used the green band for pullups and did parallel pushups instead of chest to floor. Finished the last round in 45:02. Did the final mile run just for the fun of it :-) Total time 54:47. Now I can say I've done Murph!
Posted by: Jen | May 28, 2010 at 01:13 PM
I did Saturday's WOD today at lunch with Tiffany. Only modifications were (a) no rings so we doubled the 'bench' dips and (b) no 16# balls so we used the 10# and we jumped with our throws and tossed the ball as high as possible w/o hitting the ceiling. Took me (I think) 43:25ish. Angie, will you please write my name next to this one? Then all I have left is Murph --- MONDAY (unless I can find somewhere at Nine Eagles SP that I can do full pullups).
Posted by: Connie | May 28, 2010 at 01:56 PM
Wait a minute....I've been trying to get people to post for 3 years so now all the sudden John D. puts out motivation and He gets response!! What is up with that, ya'll?? I must not be all that intimidating..oh well, loving it!

I posted for you, Ang! xoxo
Posted by: Kelli | May 28, 2010 at 02:37 PM
Brian K. I don't see a post from you yet. Keep in mind that your burpees will be payable with the weighted vest on. That may include some matching weighted pants as well. Does anyone have a old pair of cargo pants that we can stuff some cinder blocks in?
Erin, I need you to give Luke a "honey to-do list" that reads "Dear Luke, Post to the site or you're going to sleep on the couch in addition to burpees."

Great job everybody!!! Wish I could have joined you but duty calls. Going to try and join you in the morning when I get off work, that could be interesting! I plan on tackling Murph on Sunday on my own...this could be bad. Think I'll go with the Fat Cindy style though!!! Enjoy your holiday weekend! It is beautiful and I'm stuck in the hospital all weekend. BOO!!!

My first post! Murph 56:08 Had to walk plenty of the 2nd mile.

Brad 52-53:XX non-Cindy style. Subbed 2000 meter row for each mile. (ouch)
John D 44:33 non-Cindy style. That was my first time doing Murph. Let's just say that last mile wasn't one for the books.
Posted by: John D | May 28, 2010 at 07:26 PM
Just incase the burpee threat was serious - I thought I better post
44:07 - 1 mile + 100 pull ups, 200 push ups, 300 squats (Cindy Style).
I should have let Brian convince me to do the last mile.
