CrossFit Iowa Owner/Trainer
Angie Starmer , owner of CrossFit Iowa, is a Certified level I CrossFit Instructor and has received her Olympic Weightlifting Certification in May of 2009. In 2008, Angie placed 2nd the annual National Fight Gone Bad II Competition for elite women. She also has extensive education in nutrition and has taught seminars for clients, home school students, and the Des Moines Police Academy. As a trainer, her strengths include the ability to quickly evaluate and scale a fitness regimen and the ability to stay positive and encourage students and athletes to perform their best. Angie's continued dedication to the study of human movement have allowed her to become an extremely motivational instructor. Her genuine commiment to the well being of others, her personal performance and training and her dedication to the fitness community are what make her an excellent physical trainer. Angie's motto is "Spirit, mind, and body: in that order..."
Starmer is also a 1998 Graduate of Iowa State University from the College of Design, is married, and is a home school mother of three. Angie volunteers as a fitness trainer for the Des Moines Police Department and is the director of the fitness ministry at Fellowship Community Church in Norwalk, Iowa.
